Three IU Students Awarded Gilman Scholarships for Summer and Fall 2015

Three Indiana University - Bloomington students were recently awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to pursue studies overseas for summer and fall 2015.
- Braden Hirstein, a junior Biology major, received a $4,000 award to study in Wollongong, Australia this fall.
- Tyler Kniess, a junior majoring in Political Science and Germanic Studies, received a $5,000 award to study in Freiburg, Germany for the 2015-16 academic year.
- Kenya Thomas, a junior Neuroscience major, received a $5,000 award to participate in a Health Studies program in Santiago, Chile this summer.
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the Institute of International Education.
