Roland A. Cote Scholarship

Each year a $2,000 "Roland A. Cote Scholarship" will be awarded to a student who has been accepted to the IU-administered academic year program in Aix-en-Provence. The award will be based on academic merit and financial need.

Roland A. Cote (1946 – 2013) retired in 2011 as the Registrar of Indiana University after serving IU for four decades.  Having spent his own junior year abroad in France, he was forever passionate about study abroad. As the Registrar, he helped create flexible administrative systems that simplified and improved the study abroad experience for IU students.

Study abroad is like spring training for this century. It helps you develop the fundamentals, the teamwork, and the determination to succeed."

-Hillary Rodham Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State
