Alcalá

CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange)
Students take language courses and area studies courses in the humanities and social sciences at the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Norteamericanos with other American students. Requires 4-5 semesters of Spanish.   Housing in homestays or residence hall.

Institute for Study Abroad (Butler University)
Fall students take language courses and area studies courses in the humanities and social sciences with other American students.  Spring or academic year students take mainstreamed courses at Universidad de Alcalá.  Housing with host family.

Barcelona

The College of Global Studies (Arcadia University)
Spanish language classes and area studies for students at all levels of Spanish, including beginner. Students with advanced skills can take mainstreamed courses at the University of Barcelona.  Core course on Catalan studies. Housing with host family or in an apartment.

Granada

IES (Institute for International Education of Students)
Spanish language classes and area studies courses in English or Spanish for students with 2-4 semesters of Spanish. Students with at least 4 semesters take courses in Spanish or English for Americans, mainstreamed courses and optional internship.

The College of Global Studies (Arcadia University)
Spanish language classes and area studies for students intermediate to advanced, with at least 4 semesters of Spanish. Students with advanced skills can take mainstreamed courses at the University of Granada. Housing with host family or student residence.

Madrid

Boston University
Part-time internship while taking several courses.  Students must be proficient in Spanish.  Special opportunities for health sciences students.  Housing in homestays.

CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange)
Courses at the University of Carlos III in a variety of disciplines.  Opportunity for special program focusing on legal studies.  Requires 5-6 semesters of Spanish.  Housing in off-campus apartment with a Spanish host.

Málaga

Institute for Study Abroad (Butler University)
Students take program language course in addition to courses at the Universidad de Málaga.  Optional program course.  Requires a minimum of 4 semesters of Spanish. Housing with host family.

Palma de Mallorca

CIEE courses in variety of liberal arts with  2-3 courses at the Universitat de les Illes Balears. Optional internship. Opportunity to focus on tourism management and business.  Requires 5 semesters of Spanish.  Homestays.
