"A Fine Balance" by Abby Schmiesing
- Location: When hiking through the Amazon of Peru, it was sometimes necessary to cross lily-pad-strewn rivers to continue. As the water level changes so frequently, there are seldom bridges constructed. Therefore, we were able to test our balance walking across logs and hoping on rocks, most often with sticks in the mud for support.
