• Summer Internship Program at the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Study Center in Berlin
• Typical enrollment: 15-20 students from U.S. colleges and universities

• "Summer Global Internship" Program track*
• Unpaid, 6-credit internship project with accompanying seminar
  • Includes 45 academic course hours and 225-300 internship placement hours (minimum of 30-35 hours per week) 
  • Placements in marketing and communications, business, technology and entrepreneurship, life sciences, energy and sustainability, arts management, fashion design, and more 

Course Load

• 6 IU credit hours
  • 6-credit internship course: Academic Internship in the Global Workplace (FRST-F 400+)

+ IU Title: Special Topics in Foreign Study (upper-level elective credit in COLL)

• Primarily on-campus residence hall with limited number of shared apartments, the latter only assigned if residence hall has filled.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of the Office of Overseas Study. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Summer 2022

• IU portion of fee: $237.21
• CIEE portion of fee*paid to IU bursar: $6,412.50 (academic fees, housing, field trips, insurance and orientation)
• Meals: $1,200
• International Airfare: CIEE estimates $1,250 for East Coast departures

Airfare, personal expenses, and vacation travel additional. Initial prepayment of $500 due February 22, 2022.
