• Typical enrollment: 300-400 students from U.S. colleges and universities

• IES Abroad “Business” and "Study London" Programs*
• Orientation program on-site
• 20-25 IES Abroad courses in humanities and social sciences, taught by British professors for U.S. students
• Outside course offerings at City University or Queen Mary University (Study London program only)
• Optional, unpaid 3 credit internship (Business and Study London programs only)
  • ~16 hours / 2 days per week
  • Placements in the arts, media, business, education, theater and politics
  • Accompanying seminar meets bi-weekly for 2 hours
• Community-based learning practicum [service learning] (Business and Study London programs only)

• Program requires enrollment in combination of IES Abroad center courses AND either one university course, an internship, or community-based learning practicum.
  • 15 IU credits in 4 IES Abroad courses (3 credits each) and a 3-credit internship or community-based learning practicum
    OR
  • 16 IU credits in 4 IES Abroad courses (3 credits each) and one 4-credit course at a British university affiliated with the IES Abroad program

• International student residence hall in central London with other American students.
• Students have a shared bedroom with en-suite bathroom and access to a common kitchen with other students on the same floor.
• Students are required to live in program-provided housing in London.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• are academically prepared for courses available on this program (primarily 300-level social sciences and humanities courses)
• have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA

Business majors must have (or will have) successfully completed the KSB prerequisites of the Business Integrative Core (or equivalent coursework at an IU campus outside Bloomington) by the start of the program

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

• IU scholarships, grants and loans applicable to program costs with some exceptions. Please carefully check these exceptions before you commit to a program.

• IU Scott C. Schurz Study Abroad Scholarships of $2,500-$5,000
