• Required 2-week Intensive Business Spanish course
• Business, humanities and social science courses taught in Spanish
• Optional business courses in Spanish with Spanish students at Universidad de Sevilla and Universidad Pablo de Olavide

  • 8-10 hours/week (min. 100 hours per semester)
  • Placements in accounting, business, engineering, finance, health care, hospitality, IT, marketing, NGOs, sports

This program is restricted to students admitted to the Kelley School of Business.

This program will satisfy the IUB GenEd World Language and Culture Requirement.

Course Load

• 15 IU credits. All courses are conducted in Spanish
  • 3-6 credits in Spanish (Depending on on-site language placement test)
  • 9-12 remaining credits

Students are required to live in CIEE-provided housing

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• are a business major
• have taken or are enrolled in fifth semester college-level Spanish with a B average
• have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA

Business majors must have completed (or will complete) the KSB prerequisite of the Business Integrative Core (or equivalent coursework at an IU campus outside Bloomington) by the start of the program.

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of the Office of Overseas Study. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

• IU portion of fee: $237.21
• CIEE portion of fee*paid to IU bursar: $16,577.50 (academic fees, housing, meals in homestay, orientation, medical insurance, local excursions and cultural activities)
• Additional Meals in Residencia: $1,600
• International Airfare: CIEE estimates $1,100 (for East Coast departures)
