Global Medical Brigades is a global health and sustainable development program that seeks to provide medical relief, health education, and improve the quality of life for underserved communities in rural EstelĂ, Nicaragua. Its mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world. The brigade trip will consist of a medical unit and a public health workshop day. The medical unit will allow students interested in global health to observe and learn first-hand about the healthcare system in Nicaragua and how to interact with different cultures. Every student will have the opportunity to participate in a public health project.
