Worldwide: International Human Rights Law Internship

PIHRL internships provide students with invaluable opportunities to learn about International Human Rights Law

• Students also gain rewarding personal and professional experiences in the field.

International placements at one of the following categories of organization:

• Non-governmental human rights law organizations (NGOs)
• Inter-governmental human rights law organizations (IGOs)
• Governmental human rights law organization (GOs)
• Since 1997, Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis students have worked as human rights interns in over 50 countries on 6 continents

• Students who are selected to participate in the Human Rights Summer Internship Program earn four (4) credit hours.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of the Office of Overseas Study. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
