The Office of Overseas Study hosts a photo contest each fall for those who studied abroad in the previous year. 

Entries are judged by a committee of representatives of the Office of Overseas Study. The committee seeks photos that are representative of students' international experience, with preference toward photos that include students. We welcome both standard and panoramic photos. Please note: the deadline for submissions is Sunday, October 9.

Entries are judged within three categories:

• IU Students Abroad: Photos should feature IU students engaged in learning activities during their study abroad programs. 
• Local Culture: Photos should feature unique aspects of local culture or local history.
• Local Environment: Photos should feature unique aspects of architectural, landscape, cityscape or surrounding environmental elements of the location abroad. Preference will be given to photos that include IU students.

Photos submitted for the 2022 contest must have been taken while studying abroad during the 2021-22 academic year or summer 2022 and must have been taken by the entrant. DO NOT submit photos of yourself that have been taken by other people.

Please make sure you meet all of the eligibility requirements listed below before you submit your entry:

• You must be an IU student who studied abroad during the 2021-22 academic year or summer 2022.
• Photographs must have been taken by you, the entrant.
• Photos must have been taken outside of the United States.
• Entries must be in high-resolution digital JPG or PNG format.
• Each field is required for submission to the photo contest.

Any submissions not meeting the above requirements will not be considered. There is a limit of 7 entries per student.

Awards will be given in each of the three categories.

1st place and 2nd place will both receive prizes and gift certificates from local businesses. 

• Fill out this Google Form. If you're having trouble accessing the Google form, please use this Microsoft form instead. 
• Complete all fields.
• Name all image files with your IU username and a location (e.g. jsmith_london.jpg).
• Submit the form.
• Entries will be accepted until midnight on October 9, 2022.

Please note: All submissions become the property of IU's Office of Overseas Study for use in any future publications and publicity. The entrant is responsible for obtaining the consent of any person appearing in the submitted photos.
