• This is an IU Co-Sponsored Program
• Summer Internship Program at the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Study Center in Seville
• This 8-week program fulfills the IUB general education World Languages & Cultures requirement

• "Summer Global Internship" Program track*
• Unpaid, 6-credit internship project with accompanying seminar (with CIEE participants)
  • Includes 225-300 internship placement hours (minimum of 30-35 hours per week) and 15 integrated hours for the academic seminar
  • Placements in media/communications, tourism and hospitality, business, and more 

Course Load

• 6 IU credit hours
  • 6-credit internship course: Academic Internship in the Global Workplace (FRST-F 400+ for non-Kelley students)
  • 6-credit internship course: Academic Internship in the Global Workplace (BUS-X 480 for Kelley students)

+ IU Title: Special Topics in Foreign Study (upper-level elective credit in COLL)

• Standard Housing: Includes a single room at a homestay, or a double room at a residence hall located within a 45-minute commute of the city center. Homestays feature a kitchen, living room, and bathroom shared with a host family. Residence halls have kitchen access, shared laundry facilities, and common spaces.

  • Homestays: Three meals per day are included.  

  • Residence Halls: Meals are not included. Students have access to shared kitchens.  

• Select Housing: Includes a single room in a residence hall located under 30 minutes from the city center. Residence halls boast shared kitchens, common areas, and laundry facilities shared with other students. Select housing requires an additional fee.

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your second full-time semester of college
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
