Edudation Abroad may grant an extension (from one semester to one academic year) for eligible students on certain co-sponsored semester programs, provided you do the following:
- Confirm that studying on the program for a full academic year would not lengthen your degree program at IU.
- Provide a detailed academic rationale of what coursework you plan to take during the academic year and what degree requirements the coursework would fulfill at IU.
To be considered for the extension, you must submit the above information to the program's study abroad advisor before the program's application deadline. An extension can only be granted on programs that have indicated the academic year option is available.
