Located in the Caribbean with a rich ecology, Grand Cayman is an ideal setting for this IU-administered, faculty-led summer program which focuses on the tropical ecology of the island. Participants take a tropical biology course with other IU students and travel on excursions to visit coral reefs, mangroves, and both terrestrial and marine habitats.

- Program Eligibility
You may apply if you:
- are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
- are in at least your third full-time semester of college (priority given to upperclassmen)
- have completed one year of biology or equivalent
- are willing to live and travel harmoniously with group in the field
- are able to engage in strenuous physical activity, have good swimming skills and are (or will be) certified to SCUBA dive (spring 2nd 8 weeks School of Public Health class available; open water dives can be completed during program)
- have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of the Office of Overseas Study. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

- International airfare: $600 - $1,000
